AllTaq Master Mix Kit (2500)

From QIAGEN, this master mix is supplied as a ready-to-use 2x formulation designed for endpoint PCR. It contains AllTaq DNA polymerase together with Template Tracer, Master Mix Tracer and RNase-free water, supporting consistent amplification across diverse targets.

The kit is extremely versatile and supports duplex reactions as well as amplification of difficult or long targets up to 9 kb, including GC-rich sequences, all under a single 45-minute protocol. An optional orange Master Mix Tracer and blue Template Tracer serve as visual pipetting controls; once combined, the solution turns green to signal that the reaction is ready. The inert dyes can also function as gel loading and tracking dyes to streamline downstream analysis.

Reaction setup can be carried out at room temperature, with 4°C storability built in. The master mix uses a guard molecule and antibody to keep the DNA polymerase inactive until the initial heat activation step, providing protected hot-start functionality that helps prevent non-specific amplification and primer-dimer formation. According to the manufacturer, the kits can reliably detect as low as a single target molecule.
