AdnaTest ProstateCancerPanel AR-V7

A QIAGEN panel for the molecular characterization of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) from whole human blood. The AdnaTest ProstateCancerSelect is first used for the enrichment of CTCs from whole blood in prostate cancer research; this panel then analyzes gene expression of AR-V7 and further prostate cancer associated genes.

In spiking experiments with 2 tumor cells (LnCap) spiked into 5 ml of whole blood from healthy donors (n=40), the panel achieved a recovery rate of 95% (38/40). Specificity was determined in 14 male healthy donors: PSA, PSMA, and AR-V7 each reached 100% specificity, while ARwt reached 93%.

The qRT-PCR efficiency for the tumor cell related genes was higher than 90%, with amplification factors ranging above 1.9. The workflow was tested in 12 castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC) samples.
