AdnaTest OvarianCancer Detect

Circulating tumor cell (CTC) enrichment and molecular detection from peripheral blood is the purpose of this QIAGEN AdnaTest kit, which combines immunomagnetic tumor cell selection with multiplex reverse-transcription PCR to identify ovarian-cancer-associated transcripts.

The workflow begins with collection of 5 mL EDTA whole blood, which is incubated with a cocktail of antibody-conjugated magnetic beads that bind epithelial and ovarian tumor antigens on circulating cells. After lysis and mRNA capture, the isolated transcripts are converted to cDNA and amplified using tumor-specific primer mixes, allowing sensitive detection of ovarian-tumor-associated signals in the eluate.

For research use only, the kit supports laboratories investigating liquid biopsy approaches for epithelial ovarian cancer and supplies reagents validated on the AdnaMag magnetic particle concentrator platform. The antibody bead suspension should be refrigerated upon arrival; primer mixes and wash buffers remain stable until the printed expiration date when stored in a cool, dark environment.
