AdnaTest BreastCancerSelect

A QIAGEN workflow for sensitive enrichment of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) directly from peripheral blood, the AdnaTest BreastCancerSelect serves as the front-end isolation step that pairs with the AdnaTest BreastCancerDetect RT-PCR kit for downstream molecular profiling of breast cancer signatures.

Whole blood is incubated with a proprietary antibody cocktail directed against tumor-associated surface antigens (EpCAM, HER2, and EGFR), after which labeled cells are captured on a magnetic separator. The recovered cell fraction is lysed and the RNA is purified for subsequent reverse transcription and multiplex PCR amplification of cancer-specific transcripts, including GA733-2 (EpCAM), MUC1, and HER2 markers.

Each kit contains antibody-conjugated magnetic beads, washing buffers, lysis reagents, and related consumables scaled for routine processing of patient samples. The recommended sample input is 5 mL of blood collected in EDTA tubes, and the isolation procedure is designed to be completed within a single working shift in molecular pathology laboratories.
