TurboFilter 96 Plates (96)

From QIAGEN, TurboFilter 96 Plates are asymmetric filter units designed to enable fast clearing of bacterial lysates generated under high concentrations of chaotropic salts. Crude bacterial lysates are vacuum filtered through the plate, eliminating the need for centrifugation, so that particle-free lysates flow directly into the wells of a QIAprep 96 plate, ready for purification and elution.

Used together with QIAprep 96 Plates, the system supports automated purification of up to 20 µg per well of molecular biology grade plasmid DNA. The workflow follows a simple bind–wash–elute procedure, and TurboFilter technology allows the protocol to be fully automated on the BioRobot 8000 and Universal System.

Plasmid DNA isolated using this workflow is suitable for routine molecular biology applications such as sequencing, cloning, and PCR.
