QIAfilter Midi Cartidges (25)

These filtration cartridges from QIAGEN are designed for use within the QIAfilter Plasmid Midi Kit protocol, where they clear bacterial lysates following alkaline lysis. During the workflow, the neutralized lysate is poured into the cartridge barrel, the outlet nozzle is capped, and the lysate is incubated at room temperature (15–25°C) for up to 10 minutes. The cap is then removed and a plunger is inserted to gently filter the cleared lysate directly into an equilibrated QIAGEN-tip, where the lysate enters the resin by gravity flow for subsequent DNA elution.

The cartridges can be stored at room temperature (15–25°C) for at least 2 years and form part of QIAGEN's secondary sample technology consumables range, supporting reproducible clearing of bacterial lysates in midi-scale plasmid DNA preparation.
