ThawSTAR Barrier Bags, 250 mL, 25/pack

Single-use protective enclosures for frozen cell therapy products, these 250 mL barrier bags keep cryogenic vial contents isolated from the interior of automated thawing instruments. Each sterile bag holds a single cryogenic vial during the thaw cycle, preventing direct contact between the frozen sample and the warming chamber and reducing the risk of cross-contamination between consecutive runs in cell therapy manufacturing workflows.

Engineered for use with ThawSTAR automated thawing systems from STEMCELL Technologies, each bag is loaded into the instrument's receiving chamber, where the frozen vial remains sealed inside the pouch throughout warming. After thawing, the bag and vial are removed together as a single disposable unit, supporting aseptic handling of autologous and allogeneic cell products, including CAR-T and other cellular therapy intermediates, in GMP-compatible environments.

Each pack contains 25 individually pouched barrier bags, sufficient for routine thawing campaigns and helping maintain reproducible thaw profiles across multiple cell therapy batches. The bags are latex-free, intended for research use and process development applications, and offer a practical approach to preserving sample sterility while keeping the thawing instrument clean between samples.
