Description
An alcohol-free polyethylene foam freezing container, distributed by STEMCELL Technologies and featuring the Corning® CoolCell® LX design, enables standardized cryopreservation without the use of alcohol. The non-absorbent construction delivers uniform freezing when paired with a -80°C freezer, achieving a reproducible rate of -1°C/minute suited for most cells and cell lines.
Each unit holds 12 standard 1–2 mL cryogenic vials and is built from polyethylene foam with a solid thermo-conductive core. Available in orange, pink, purple, or green, the container measures 11.7 cm in diameter and 9.9 cm in height, with a well diameter of 12.7 mm. Recommended storage is at 15–25°C.
