Description

This dye-based qPCR mix from Solis BioDyne is specially designed for real-time quantitative PCR and one-step RT-qPCR assays. Formulated with HOT FIREPol® DNA Polymerase and the proprietary SolisGreen® dye, the mix contains all components needed except sample (DNA/RNA template) and primers, and includes a passive reference based on ROX dye, making it suitable for both ROX-dependent and ROX-independent qPCR cyclers. The manufacturer states it is compatible with most qPCR platforms and offers improved detection of low-copy targets.

The mix is described as delivering high sensitivity, exceptional fluorescence levels, and reliable amplification results even with low-concentration or low-copy-number samples. A 10 min incubation step at 95°C activates HOT FIREPol® DNA Polymerase, helping to prevent extension of non-specifically annealed primers and primer-dimers formed at low temperatures during setup. Lot-to-lot reproducibility is ensured through batch-based production, and the product is engineered for remarkable stability at higher temperatures, enabling ice-free shipping worldwide. Solis BioDyne's stability testing on the TUBA8 target across four 10-fold dilutions (20 pg to 20 ng) of human gDNA demonstrated consistent performance after 2 weeks at 37°C and 1 month at room temperature (25°C) compared with a -20°C reference.

Applications include gene expression analysis, absolute quantification, pathogen detection and quantification, low-copy gene detection, and cell-free DNA analysis. The mixture is a colorless liquid with a pH of 7.0–9.0 and is recommended for routine storage at -20°C. It is intended for Research Use Only.
