HOT FIREPol® SolisGreen qPCR Mix 2.0

Solis BioDyne's HOT FIREPol® SolisGreen® qPCR Mix 2.0 is a highly sensitive dye-based qPCR mix designed for real-time quantitative PCR, offering improved detection of low-copy targets and compatibility with most qPCR platforms. The mix contains all components needed for the reaction except the DNA template and primers, and includes a passive reference based on ROX dye, making it suitable for both ROX-dependent and ROX-independent qPCR cyclers.

The formulation is built around HOT FIREPol® DNA Polymerase, which is activated by a 10 min incubation at 95 °C, preventing extension of non-specifically annealed primers and primer-dimers that may form at low temperatures during reaction setup. The specially developed SolisGreen® dye is described as environmentally friendly and safe to use, and the mix is exceptionally stable — supporting worldwide ice-free shipping — while still delivering good lot-to-lot reproducibility, reliable amplification with low-concentration and low-copy-number samples, high PCR efficiency, and exceptional fluorescence levels even with low sample concentrations.

Listed applications include gene expression analysis and absolute quantification, pathogen detection and quantification, low-copy gene detection, and cell-free DNA analysis. According to the safety data sheet, the mixture is supplied as a colourless liquid with a pH value of 7.0–9.0 and is classified as not hazardous under Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008. Components are water (<91%), glycerol (<8%), MgCl₂ (<1%), BSA (<0.1%), HOT FIREPol® DNA Polymerase (<0.1%), dGTP, dCTP, dATP and dTTP (each <0.1%), SolisGreen® dye (<0.1%) and a reference dye (<0.1%). Routine storage is at −28 °C to −18 °C until the end of shelf-life, and the product is intended for Research Use Only.
