HOT FIREPol® EvaGreen® qPCR Mix Plus (ROX)

This 5x ready-to-use master mix from Solis BioDyne, the HOT FIREPol® EvaGreen® qPCR Mix Plus (ROX), is formulated for dye-based real-time quantitative PCR with EvaGreen® dye and an internal ROX reference. The mix combines HOT FIREPol® DNA Polymerase, ultrapure dNTPs, MgCl2 (12.5 mM in the 5x buffer, giving 2.5 mM in the 1x PCR solution), EvaGreen® dye and ROX, and the user adds only water, template and primers. The product is compatible with both low-ROX and high-ROX real-time instruments. HOT FIREPol® DNA Polymerase is activated by a 12-minute incubation at 95 °C, which suppresses extension of non-specifically annealed primers and primer-dimer formation during reaction set-up. A capillary cycler variant without ROX is also offered within the same product line.

Typical applications include detection and quantification of DNA and cDNA targets, gene expression profiling, microbial detection, and viral load determination. Reaction set-up can be carried out at room temperature, ideally under laminar flow or in a PCR cabinet. EvaGreen® is described as a DNA-binding dye with much less PCR inhibition than SYBR® Green I, with high dye stability and a non-mutagenic, non-cytotoxic profile; it is compatible with all common real-time PCR cyclers using standard SYBR® Green or FAM settings.

Routine storage is at -18 °C to -28 °C, and shipping or temporary storage for up to one month at room temperature has no detrimental effect on product quality. The product is manufactured under ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certified Quality Management Systems and is supplied for research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedures.
