FlexiTube siRNA 20 nmol W/O Modification

QIAGEN's FlexiTube siRNA supports efficient RNAi analysis one gene at a time. The reagent is designed using the innovative HP OnGuard siRNA Design, which incorporates several advanced features: BioPredsi neural-network technology based on a large RNAi data set, homology analysis against an up-to-date nonredundant sequence database, genome-wide Affymetrix GeneChip analysis to minimize off-target effects, asymmetry of base-pair stabilities at the 5' ends so that the antisense strand preferentially enters RISC while the sense strand is degraded, 3' UTR/seed region analysis to flag potential miRNA-like off-target effects, SNP avoidance using the RefSNP database, and screening for sequence motifs known to trigger an interferon response.

siRNAs are supplied lyophilized in tubes and arrive preannealed, requiring only resuspension in the supplied sterile RNase-free water — no incubation at 96 °C or 37 °C is needed. Products are shipped at room temperature; after resuspension they should be stored at –20 °C and aliquoted to avoid freeze–thaw cycles. The format is available for human, mouse, and rat genes. Full siRNA sequence information is provided at no extra charge and may be included in research publications. The unmodified duplexes are intended for standard RNAi applications, and QIAGEN recommends HiPerFect Transfection Reagent for low-throughput transfection and HiPerFect HTS Reagent for high-throughput work.

A one-time-only replacement offer applies: if at least two siRNAs for the same target gene fail to deliver ≥70% target gene knockdown at the mRNA level under appropriate transfection conditions (with supporting transfection-efficiency, quantitative silencing, and positive-control data), QIAGEN will supply two additional siRNAs free of charge. The offer is valid for up to six months after delivery. Thousands of human siRNAs in the range have been experimentally verified by real-time RT-PCR to provide at least 70% knockdown as part of the world's largest siRNA validation project.
