FlexiTube siRNA 20 nmol W Modification

Designed for efficient RNAi analysis of individual target genes, this FlexiTube siRNA from QIAGEN is supplied with chemical modifications intended to improve stability and performance in cellular assays. The product is a cost-effective solution for studying small numbers of genes in functional genomics or pathway analysis applications.

The siRNA is designed using QIAGEN's HP OnGuard siRNA Design, which combines BioPredsi neural-network technology with a large set of RNAi experimental data and homology analysis against up-to-date, nonredundant sequence databases. The design incorporates asymmetry at the 5' ends to favor antisense-strand entry into RISC, 3' UTR/seed region analysis to limit miRNA-like off-target effects, SNP avoidance using the RefSNP database, and screening against interferon-inducing sequence motifs. Thousands of human siRNAs have been experimentally verified by real-time RT-PCR and shown to provide at least 70% knockdown.

The siRNA is provided lyophilized in tubes and comes preannealed, requiring only resuspension in the supplied sterile, RNase-free water prior to use. Full sequence information is included at no extra charge. A one-time-only replacement offer is available: if two or more FlexiTube siRNAs for the same target gene do not provide at least 70% target gene knockdown at the mRNA level under appropriate transfection conditions, QIAGEN will provide two additional siRNAs free of charge.
