FlexiTube siRNA 1 nmol

Designed by QIAGEN for efficient RNAi analysis of small numbers of genes, this individual siRNA is supplied at a 1 nmol scale for human and mouse targets, with a minimum order of four siRNAs. Each siRNA is designed using the HP OnGuard siRNA Design, which combines neural-network technology based on a large RNAi data set with homology analysis against an up-to-date nonredundant sequence database, asymmetric 5' end stability, 3' UTR/seed region analysis, SNP avoidance using the RefSNP database, and screening for interferon response motifs. Thousands of human siRNAs in this range have been experimentally verified by real-time RT-PCR and shown to provide at least 70% knockdown of their target gene.

The siRNA is provided lyophilized in a tube and is shipped at room temperature. It arrives preannealed, so no incubation at 96°C or 37°C is needed before use — only addition of the sterile RNase-free water supplied with the product for resuspension. Full sequence information is included at no extra charge. A one-time-only replacement offer applies: if at least two siRNAs for the same target gene fail to provide ≥70% target gene knockdown under appropriate transfection conditions, QIAGEN will supply two additional siRNAs free of charge once, with the offer valid for up to six months after delivery.

Both HP GenomeWide and HP Validated siRNAs can be selected in this format. For transfection, QIAGEN recommends HiPerFect Transfection Reagent for low-throughput applications and HiPerFect HTS Reagent for high-throughput workflows.
