DNA Ligation Adapter

A core reagent in ligation-based next-generation sequencing workflows, this QIAGEN adapter supplies pre-formatted duplex oligonucleotides used to attach platform-specific index sequences to fragmented DNA during library construction.

The adapter integrates into the QIAseq library prep portfolio and supports RNA-seq, whole-genome sequencing, targeted enrichment, and amplicon-based assays on Illumina and other short-read sequencers. Following end-repair and dA-tailing reactions, the adapters ligate to dsDNA ends, reducing adapter-dimer formation and improving library yield across varying input DNA quantities.

Each single-use vial ships ready for bench use and should be stored at -20 °C, protected from light. To preserve reagent integrity, aliquot upon first thaw and limit freeze-thaw cycles.
