Deparaffinization Solution (50ml)

Optimized for deparaffinization prior to DNA purification from formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections, QIAGEN's Deparaffinization Solution (DPS) is a non-odorous reagent easily tracked with a blue tracer dye. After addition to an FFPE sample, the solution remains on the sample while proteinase K digestion is carried out, eliminating the need to pellet the sample or remove paraffin-containing supernatant. The reagent may be used with the QIAsymphony DSP DNA Mini Kit. For deparaffinization, the supplied solution is recommended, though alternative standard methods such as heptane and methanol or xylene can also be used.
