Antisense LNA GapmeR Standard (5)

This RNA silencing reagent from QIAGEN uses LNA (Locked Nucleic Acid) technology as a single-strand antisense oligonucleotide for mRNA and lncRNA knockdown. It works through RNase H-dependent degradation of complementary RNA targets, enabling specific knockdown without RISC-related off-target activity. Compared with siRNA, the reagent has shown higher knockdown effect with dose-dependent responses. The product is intended for cell culture and animal model applications. It is supplied with a phosphorothioate backbone and standard desalting purification. Published research has described use of this GapmeR for unassisted gene knockdown in bovine pre-implantation embryos, targeting GDF9 and BMP15 without transfection reagents or microinjection.
