AllStars HsCellDeathControl siRNA(5nmol)

QIAGEN's AllStars Hs Cell Death Control siRNA is designed for siRNA transfection optimization and positive control experiments in human cells. It is a blend of highly potent siRNAs targeting ubiquitously expressed human genes that are essential for cell survival, so knockdown induces a high degree of cell death visible by light microscopy. Transfection efficiency can be quickly estimated by observing cells under straightforward light microscopy 48–96 hours after transfection, avoiding the need for complex or laborious downstream assays.

Validated for a broad range of human cell lines and primary cells, the control delivers a knockdown efficiency of >95% for each target mRNA and significantly outperforms other commercially available toxic control siRNAs in both the level of cell death induced and the range of cell types validated. Consistent high levels of cell death ensure effective control experiments. The siRNA is supplied with modification, designed using HP OnGuard siRNA design, and is suitable for routine use as a positive control, including in high-throughput RNAi screens.

The product is supplied RNase-free and lyophilized; it should be resuspended in RNase-free water, stored at -20°C, and handled under RNase-free conditions. Appropriate safety controls should be included when working with this cytotoxic positive control.
