A ready-to-use liquid conjugate of the recombinant Treponema pallidum TpN17 lipoprotein directly coupled to horseradish peroxidase (HRP), supplied by Antibodies.com as 1 ml of working reagent. TpN17 is a 17 kDa membrane-associated lipoprotein that ranks among the most immunodominant antigens of the syphilis spirochete, eliciting a strong and early antibody response in infected hosts. Pre-labeling the antigen with HRP lets researchers apply it directly as a detector in ELISA plate workflows and on western blot membranes without performing a separate conjugation step during assay setup.

Typical research uses include in vitro serological screening for anti-T. pallidum antibodies, epitope mapping across the TpN17 sequence, and confirmatory immunoblot testing of reactive samples. The conjugate also serves as a positive control reagent when validating new syphilis antibody assays, since TpN17 is one of the antigenic targets commonly built into commercial treponemal tests.

Each vial contains 1 ml of liquid antigen-HRP conjugate. For long-term integrity, aliquot the conjugate upon first thaw to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles, store refrigerated and protect from light between uses, and handle the HRP-labeled fraction away from reducing agents or sodium azide that would inactivate the peroxidase.
