A mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody supplied by QIAGEN, the Tetra·His Antibody specifically recognizes a consecutive hexahistidine (6xHis) epitope and enables sensitive detection of recombinant fusion proteins carrying this affinity tag. This BSA-free formulation eliminates potential interference from bovine serum albumin in downstream assays, including phosphoprotein studies and biotin/streptavidin workflows, where carrier proteins often complicate results. The antibody performs reliably across multiple research applications, including Western blot analysis, immunoprecipitation, immunocytochemistry, ELISA, and flow cytometry. Suggested working concentrations are approximately 0.1 to 1 µg/mL for immunoblotting and 1 to 5 µg/mL for immunoprecipitation, with HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary antibodies used for signal generation. Each 100 µg vial is aliquoted for single-use convenience and is validated for consistent lot-to-lot performance. Researchers rely on this reagent for confirmation of cloning constructs, purification tracking, and protein-protein interaction studies involving His-tagged partners.
