This QIAGEN Rotor-Disc 72 is a consumable designed for use with the Rotor-Gene Q real-time PCR system. Sealing is performed with the Rotor-Disc Heat Sealer and Rotor-Disc Heat Sealing Film rather than with individual caps, and the film produces a strong, durable, and tamper-proof seal that helps prevent contamination. A Rotor-Disc 72 Loading Block is required for handling the disc during the sealing workflow, and reactions can be set up either by manual pipetting or with a QIAgility workstation.
