Description
A recombinant form of HIV-1 Gag p17 is offered by Antibodies.com within its Proteins and Peptides range. The full-length protein is expressed in Escherichia coli and purified to greater than 90% as assessed by SDS-PAGE [S1]. It is supplied as a liquid at 0.23 mg/ml in a buffer of 20 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.5) containing 50 mM NaCl, 10 mM mercaptoethanol and 50% glycerol [S1]. The molecular weight is 17 kDa [S1].
Validated applications include SDS-PAGE, WB, DB and ELISA [S1][C0]. The product is shipped at 4 °C; upon delivery it should be aliquoted and stored at -20 °C, avoiding freeze/thaw cycles [S1].
