Supplied as a 100 ml bottle, the QIAGEN QX RNA Booster Buffer is a denaturing additive used with the QIAxcel and QIAxcel Connect capillary electrophoresis systems to improve RNA sizing resolution. Mixed with RNA samples immediately before injection, it disrupts secondary structures and sharpens peak separation, enabling clearer discrimination of small RNA species, microRNAs, and degradation fragments in electropherograms generated from nanogram-scale inputs.

The reagent supports routine RNA quality control workflows in molecular biology laboratories, including assessment of total RNA integrity, verification of in vitro-transcribed transcripts, and characterization of RNA templates prior to downstream applications such as reverse transcription, PCR amplification, and sequencing library preparation.
