The QIAseq Targeted RNA GE Buffer Set supports high-throughput targeted RNA sequencing (RNA-Seq) workflows on Illumina platforms, providing the enzymatic and buffer reagents required for molecular barcode-enabled digital gene expression profiling. Formulated for the 384-well reaction format, this reagent set enables parallel processing of large sample batches, making it appropriate for population-scale transcriptomic studies, biomarker discovery screens, and validation cohorts where sample throughput is critical.

Intended for use with the matching QIAGEN Gene Expression (GE) panel and QIAseq Targeted RNA 384 Index Kit, the buffer set supports reverse transcription, molecular barcode ligation, and target amplification steps within a streamlined single-day workflow. Reagents are tuned for low-input total RNA samples, including limiting amounts commonly recovered from laser-capture microdissection, fluorescence-activated cell sorting, or formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) material. The molecular barcoding chemistry converts each cDNA molecule into a uniquely tagged amplicon, enabling digital counting of transcripts and reducing PCR amplification bias in downstream counting.

Each component is provided in a single-use, ready-to-use format optimized for automated liquid handlers and 384-well plate cycling. The kit is intended for research use only and supports cell culture-derived RNA, tissue-derived RNA, and ex vivo transcriptomic investigations. For full workflow compatibility, the buffer set is paired with the matching QIAseq Targeted RNA Panel and corresponding QIAseq index adapter kit during library construction and sequencing on Illumina instruments.
