Antibodies.com Human Pro-GRP (Active) is supplied as a 100 µg liquid preparation in unconjugated format for research use only. Pro-GRP is the biosynthetic precursor of gastrin-releasing peptide (GRP), a bombesin-like mitogen implicated in neuroendocrine signaling, and it is widely used as a circulating biomarker to discriminate small cell lung carcinoma (SCLC) from non-small cell lung cancer in oncology studies.

The active peptide retains receptor-binding competence, supporting cell-based assays, ligand-binding experiments, and signal-transduction investigations in lung cancer and neuroendocrine cell models. Researchers deploy this reagent as a calibrator in ELISA workflows, as a positive control in western blot, and as a reference standard in mass spectrometry-based quantification of Pro-GRP across cultured cell lines and tissue-derived samples.

For storage, aliquot upon first thaw to minimise freeze-thaw cycles and store frozen at -20 °C for short term or -80 °C for long term; protect from light and handle with standard cold-chain precautions to preserve biological activity. Each vial of this unconjugated peptide is intended for in vitro research applications, including bombesin/GRPR pathway studies and SCLC biomarker validation.
