The recombinant human Golgi membrane protein GP73, also referenced as GOLM1 and GOLPH2, is supplied by Antibodies.com as a liquid, unconjugated preparation of 100 µg per vial. GP73 is a 73 kDa type II transmembrane glycoprotein resident in the cis-Golgi of hepatocytes and is widely investigated as a circulating biomarker of hepatocellular carcinoma and chronic liver disease, with elevated serum levels reported in hepatitis B- and C-associated cirrhosis. Researchers commonly deploy this reagent in western blot confirmation of antibody specificity, as a calibrator or standard in ELISA-based quantification studies of clinical samples, and in immunohistochemistry of liver biopsy sections to map subcellular Golgi distribution. Each vial ships ready for research use only and supports in vitro workflows in hepatic biomarker discovery, Golgi trafficking studies, and tumor biology. For handling, aliquot upon arrival, store frozen at -80°C, avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, and protect from light to preserve biological activity.
