Human Epididymis Protein 4 (Active)

The recombinant Human Epididymis Protein 4 (HE4), also known as WFDC2, supplied by Antibodies.com is a bioactive preparation of the WAP four-disulfide core domain protein 2 widely studied as a circulating biomarker for epithelial ovarian carcinoma and, increasingly, for endometrial and lung adenocarcinoma research. The 100 µg liquid formulation is provided unconjugated and is suitable for use as an antigen standard or calibrator in immunoassay development, as an immunogen for monoclonal antibody generation, and as a positive control in western blot, immunohistochemistry, and ELISA workflows investigating WFDC2 expression in cell lysates and tissue sections.

As a member of the whey acidic protein family, HE4 contains two WAP-type four-disulfide core domains that confer its characteristic protease-inhibitory fold, and the active preparation retains this structural integrity for functional cell-based assays.
