The Human D-Dimer (Active) protein from Antibodies.com is a biologically active fibrin degradation product (FDP) generated when plasmin cleaves cross-linked fibrin at the D-domain interface. The native cross-linked D-D structure is preserved, enabling recognition by monoclonal antibodies commonly used in clinical and research assays for coagulation disorders.

Supplied as a 100 µg liquid preparation, this reagent is suited as a calibrator or positive control in ELISA, Western blot, immunoprecipitation, and other immunoassay workflows used in thrombosis and haemostasis research. Typical applications include validation of antibody specificity, generation of standard curves, spiking recovery experiments, and assay development for fibrinolysis studies.

For handling, store refrigerated and aliquot upon receipt to limit freeze-thaw cycles; the liquid format is provided ready-to-dilute into compatible assay buffers. Researchers investigating disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC), deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism (PE), and general fibrinolysis pathways rely on active D-Dimer preparations to benchmark assay performance and confirm antigen integrity.
