Human Complement C3 (Active)

Purified native human complement component C3, supplied as a 100 µg liquid preparation from Antibodies.com. C3 is the central hub of the complement cascade, circulating at roughly 1.2 mg/mL in normal human plasma and serving as the substrate for C3 convertases that generate the anaphylatoxin C3a and the opsonin C3b.

This active C3 preparation is intended for research use only in functional studies such as hemolytic assays, C3 cleavage analyses, receptor binding experiments with CR1/CD35 and CR2/CD21, and as a positive control in western blot and ELISA workflows investigating complement activation pathways.

Store frozen at -80 °C in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles; thaw on ice immediately before use. The unconjugated liquid format allows direct addition to custom assay buffers or coupling to solid phases.
