The Antibodies.com Human alpha Fetoprotein (Active) is supplied as a 100 µg liquid preparation of biologically active, full-length human AFP, an approximately 70 kDa oncofetal glycoprotein expressed by fetal liver and yolk sac tissue and widely investigated as a serological biomarker for hepatocellular carcinoma and non-seminomatous germ cell tumors.

This unconjugated, native conformation protein is provided in a single vial and is suitable for use as an immunogen, ELISA calibration standard, western blot positive control, and in vitro receptor-binding or cell-based assay reagent. To preserve biological activity, aliquot upon receipt and store frozen at -20 °C (or -80 °C for longer-term storage), protecting the solution from repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
