Glass Erlenmeyer Flask, 6 Flasks

From STEMCELL Technologies, this PYREX® Glass Erlenmeyer Flask is a 250 mL baffled vessel made from Type 1 Class A low-expansion borosilicate glass. The narrow-mouth, baffle design promotes optimal mixing when used in shakers, and the flask is also suitable for tissue dissociation and suspension cultures such as CHO cells. It features a heavy tooled rim and uniform wall thickness for mechanical durability and thermal shock resistance, and the glass will withstand repeated autoclave cycles. A marking spot is provided for easy labeling, and the flask fits a rubber stopper #6.

Typical applications include cell culture, tissue dissociation, and liquid handling. The flask measures 82 x 134 mm (outer diameter x height) with a maximum working volume of 250 mL. It is non-sterile and should be stored at 15–25 °C. The product is not designed for or rated for vacuum or pressure applications, and is intended for research use only. STEMCELL Technologies' quality management system is certified to ISO 13485.

For sterilization, the flask can be autoclaved repeatedly at 121 °C, 15 psi, for 15 minutes. It can be heated by hot plate, flame, oven, microwave, or heating mantle—up to 230 °C multiple times, or once to 490 °C. For cooling, it can be brought to -230 °C by first placing it in the vapor phase of a liquefied gas for slow cooling before immersion in the coolant.
