FGF 2 Rat

Provided by Antibodies.com, this product is a recombinant form of Rat Fibroblast Growth Factor-basic (FGF-2), also referred to as basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) or Heparin-binding growth factor 2 (HBGF-2). Expressed in Escherichia coli, the protein is supplied as a protein fragment. The target is FGF 2 and the item falls within the Proteins and Peptides category.

It is presented as a sterile filtered white lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder. Formulated from a solution containing 10 mM Sodium Phosphate and 50 mM Sodium Chloride at pH 7.5, the protein has a predicted molecular weight of 16.4 kDa and a purity of >95% as determined by SDS-PAGE, which is the validated application.

Lyophilized material is shipped at ambient temperature: short term storage (3 weeks) at 25°C, and long term desiccated below -18°C. To reconstitute, dissolve in 18 MO-cm water to no less than 0.1 mg/ml; reconstituted product can be stored short term (2-7 days) at 4°C, or below -18°C long term, ideally with a carrier protein such as 0.1% HSA or BSA added. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles.
