FG Solution

QIAGEN FG Solution is a nucleic acid fragmentation reagent formulated for use in next-generation sequencing library preparation workflows. The reagent enables enzymatic DNA shearing to generate fragments in size ranges appropriate for short-read sequencing platforms, supporting consistent insert sizes across a batch of samples. FG Solution integrates into the QIAseq NGS portfolio as a fragmentation buffer and enzyme mix that is combined with purified genomic DNA or amplicon input prior to end-repair and adapter-ligation steps.

The reagent is supplied in a single-use vial format, allowing controlled addition to individual library preparation reactions. Storage at -20 degrees C is recommended, and the vial should be kept on ice during reaction setup to preserve enzymatic activity. Each vial contains sufficient volume for multiple library preparations, depending on batch size and reaction scale. FG Solution is compatible with QIAGEN QIAseq library prep kits and can also be incorporated into custom NGS workflows where controlled fragmentation is required.
