EREG Human

A recombinant human Epiregulin (EREG) protein fragment expressed in Escherichia coli, supplied by Antibodies.com as a sterile filtered white lyophilised (freeze-dried) powder. The lyophilised product is formulated from 20 mM phosphate buffered saline at pH 7.4 with 20 mM sodium chloride, with a reported purity exceeding 97% as determined by RP-HPLC and SDS-PAGE and a predicted molecular weight of 5.6 kDa.

The protein is validated for SDS-PAGE and is supplied at a concentration of 0.5 mg/ml. Reconstitution should be carried out using 18 MΩ-cm water to no less than 0.1 mg/ml, after which the solution may be further diluted into other aqueous solutions.

Lyophilised material is shipped at ambient temperature: short-term storage for up to 3 weeks at 25 °C is acceptable, whereas long-term storage requires desiccation below -18 °C. Once reconstituted, the protein is stable for 2–7 days at 4 °C, and for longer periods should be stored below -18 °C with the addition of a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA), avoiding repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Epiregulin is also referred to by the synonym Proepiregulin.
