D-PBS 10X Conc., w/o Ca++ & Mg++, 500mL

A 10X concentrate of Dulbecco's phosphate-buffered saline (D-PBS) supplied by STEMCELL Technologies, this product is formulated without calcium (Ca++) or magnesium (Mg++). It functions as a temporary diluting, washing, irrigating, or transporting solution for cell or tissue culture, providing a buffering system to help maintain physiological pH and osmotic balance in the culture medium while supplying cells with water and essential inorganic ions.

To prepare a 1X working solution, mix 1 part of the 10X stock with 9 parts sterile, high-purity water — for example, 100 mL of concentrate with 900 mL of water. The product should be stored at 15 - 25°C and remains stable until the expiry date (EXP) printed on the label. Following dilution, the 1X solution should be stored at room temperature (15 - 25°C) and filter sterilized if required. NOTE: precipitation of salts may occur if stored at 2 - 8°C; if precipitate appears, place the solution in a 37°C water bath with occasional shaking until completely dissolved.

This product does not contain antibiotics; if desired, antibiotics may be added and the medium used within 1 week. It is intended for research use only and is not for human or animal diagnostic or therapeutic applications unless otherwise stated.
