Description
A viral lysis buffer from QIAGEN used for lysing viral particles when purifying viral nucleic acids. Buffer AVL contains chaotropic agents that enable rapid lysis and inactivation of pathogens, supporting safe downstream processing in viral and microbial nucleic acid extraction workflows.
The buffer is compatible with column-based viral RNA and DNA extraction workflows and is supplied with or without carrier RNA; the formulation includes 5 x 310 µg of carrier RNA. Users are advised to follow QIAGEN protocols along with applicable biosafety and waste-disposal guidelines.
