Varicella-Zoster Virus (VZV) Antigen

Sourced and validated by Antibodies.com for immunoassay development, this native Varicella-Zoster Virus (VZV) Antigen is prepared from VZV Strain Ellen propagated in HEL-299 human cell culture, providing a representative panel of viral structural and non-structural proteins for serological research. The preparation is supplied as a liquid in a 25 mL format, formulated in100 mM glycine buffer (pH 9.5), and the antigen concentration is determined lot-specifically by Bradford assay using BSA as standard, with physical inactivation verified by attempted growth under original culture conditions. Purified by ultracentrifugation through a sucrose cushion following alkaline extraction and sonication of infected cells, the reagent is intended for use as coating material or reference antigen in ELISA and Western blot (WB) workflows. Dithiothreitol (DTT) is included as a preservative, and the product should be centrifuged briefly before opening and stored at -80 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve antigenicity.
