Prepared by Antibodies.com as a high-purity immunogen, this Luteinizing Hormone antigen is supplied as a 1 mg vial of lyophilized powder recovered from 50 mM ammonium bicarbonate buffer. The >98% purity specification makes it well suited for generating anti-LH polyclonal or monoclonal antibodies in rabbits, goats, and other host species used in reproductive endocrinology research. In the laboratory, the lyophilate is reconstituted in assay buffer and then applied directly as a coating antigen in ELISA plate development, as a positive control band in western blot and dot blot workflows, and as a calibrator spike-in when validating LH quantification in serum, urine, or pituitary cell-culture supernatant. The lyophilized format gives long shelf stability when stored at -20 °C protected from light, with single-use aliquots recommended after reconstitution to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Because the material retains native glycoprotein epitopes of pituitary LH, it is also useful in receptor binding studies, immunohistochemistry on pituitary sections, and as a reference standard alongside gonadotropin panels (FSH, hCG, TSH) used in fertility and menstrual cycle research.
