Supplied by Antibodies.com as a ready-to-use BSA-conjugated immunoreagent, this Ketamine-BSA Antigen is a 1 mg liquid formulation intended for the development and manufacture of lateral flow immunoassays targeting ketamine. The conjugate is built on a bovine serum albumin (BSA) carrier with a defined hapten-to-protein ratio of 25:1, supporting reproducible coating on nitrocellulose membranes and conjugate pads in competitive immunochromatographic strip tests. The target analyte is ketamine, the dissociative arylcyclohexylamine anesthetic studied in clinical toxicology, workplace and forensic drugs-of-abuse screening, and pharmacokinetic research. Recommended application is Lateral Flow (LF), where the reagent can be paired with an anti-ketamine antibody for capture or detection. The conjugate is presented in liquid form, preserved with sodium azide (a hazardous substance that should be handled by trained staff only), and users are advised to avoid repeated freezing and thawing to preserve antigen activity. For short-term handling (≤ 2 weeks) the conjugate should be kept at 2–8 °C; for long-term storage it should be held at –20 °C. Intended for research use only, it is not for diagnostic or therapeutic use.
