STEMscript cDNA Kit, Random, 100rxn

Designed for reverse transcription of RNA without poly(A) tails, this random-primed cDNA synthesis kit from STEMCELL Technologies supports downstream applications such as qPCR amplification and RNA sequencing, and is used for gene expression analysis. The format is well suited to rRNA, tRNA, truncated RNA, RNA isolated from prokaryotic sources, and RNA with known secondary structures.

Three optimized components are supplied: a Reverse Transcriptase Mix containing a reverse transcriptase purified from recombinant E. coli together with a recombinant ribonuclease inhibitor, a Reaction Buffer containing random primers, MgCl₂, and dNTPs, and nuclease-free water. Components should be stored at -20 °C and remain stable until the expiry date on the label; the nuclease-free water may alternatively be stored at temperatures below 30 °C. The components are sold only as part of the kit and are not available for individual purchase.

The recommended procedure uses a final reaction volume of 20 µL, prepared by combining a 10 µL Reagent Mix with up to 10 µL of RNA sample.
