SMC1 (phospho Ser966) Cell Based ELISA Kit

This cell-based ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay designed for the indirect in vitro quantitative determination of SMC1A levels in adherent and suspension cells, targeting the phospho Ser966 modification of the SMC1 protein.

The ready-to-use kit uses a colorimetric detection method on a Tissue Culture Treated Microplate platform, with an assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. It is reactive with Human (Ser966), Mouse (Ser966), and Rat (Ser966) samples, with no reported cross-reactivity. The assay range is > 5000 Cells. Kits should be stored at +4°C and remain stable for 3-6 months.

Qualitative determination of SMC1 (phospho Ser966) concentration is achieved through an indirect ELISA format in which the target is captured by Anti-SMC1 (phospho Ser966) Antibodies and detected by HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies via a colorimetric substrate reaction. Three normalization methods are described: an Anti-GAPDH Antibody as an internal positive control, Crystal Violet whole-cell staining to determine cell density, and an Anti-SMC1 Antibody for normalizing the absorbance values for the phosphorylated target against non-phosphorylated absorbance values.
