Sheep Tumor Necrosis Factor Alpha ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of sheep tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF alpha) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit is supplied as a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips and employs a biotinylated anti-TNF alpha detection antibody with HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate; the colour reaction is stopped with acidic stop solution and read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Reported performance includes a standard range of 15.6–1000 pg/ml, a sensitivity of <7.1 pg/ml and a total assay time of 4 h 30 m. Spiked-recovery averages were 91% for serum (range 80–102%, n=5), 90% for EDTA plasma (81–100%, n=5) and 84% for heparin plasma (80–89%, n=5). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 was 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101% and 92–97% for serum; 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101% and 79–108% for EDTA plasma; and 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105% and 89–91% for heparin plasma (n=5 each).
