Sheep IL-8 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of sheep IL-8 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay is specific for IL-8, with no reported cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants. IL-8, also known as CXCL8, C-X-C motif chemokine 8, GCP-1, MDNCF and Interleukin-8, is measured over a product range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL with a sensitivity of <9.375 pg/mL. The pre-coated microplate uses colorimetric detection read at 450 nm and the assay can be completed in 4 hours, using a biotinylated detection antibody and HRP-Streptavidin conjugate with TMB substrate.

Serum and plasma samples are diluted at least 1:2 with Sample Dilution Buffer before testing. Validated dilutions include healthy serum at 1:2 and healthy plasma at 1:2. Reported recovery has been 87–102% (average 96%) in serum, 86–103% (average 93%) in EDTA plasma and 88–105% (average 95%) in heparin plasma. Linear dilution behaviour has been measured in the same sample types at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8. The kit is shipped at +4°C, with components stored at +4°C or −20°C as directed by the protocol; freeze/thaw cycles and use past the expiry date should be avoided.
