Rat Zona Pellucida Glycoprotein 2, Sperm Receptor ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Zona Pellucida Glycoprotein 2, Sperm Receptor (ZP2) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids.

The assay employs a pre-coated microplate and a biotinylated anti-ZP2 detection antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate. The enzymatic reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a blue product that changes to yellow upon addition of the stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and ZP2 concentration is calculated against a standard curve. The kit reports a sensitivity of <0.125 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.312–20 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes.

Recovery has been validated across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (n=5 per matrix), with average recoveries of 91% (serum), 90% (EDTA plasma) and 84% (heparin plasma). Sample dilution linearity data at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 are also provided. Components are stored at +4 °C or -20 °C as indicated, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
