Rat Wingless Type MMTV Integration Site Family, Member 5A ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com enables the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Wnt5a (Wingless Type MMTV Integration Site Family, Member 5A) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique on a pre-coated microplate platform, with the enzymatic reaction read at 450 nm using a colorimetric microplate reader. The intensity of the yellow colour developed after addition of stop solution is proportional to the amount of Wnt5a captured in each well, allowing the concentration to be calculated against a standard curve.

Reported performance characteristics include a sensitivity of <0.055 ng/ml and a quantitative assay range of 0.156-10 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Linearity of dilution has been demonstrated in serum (90-101% at 1:2; 80-108% at 1:4; 84-95% at 1:8; 92-104% at 1:16), EDTA plasma (82-105%; 89-91%; 87-109%; 74-104%) and heparin plasma (90-94%; 87-108%; 86-101%; 90-101%). Spike-and-recovery across the same matrices has been characterised: serum n=5 range 83%-100%, average 91%; EDTA plasma n=5 range 90%-99%, average 94%; heparin plasma n=5 range 91%-101%, average 96%.
