Description
From Antibodies.com, this rat Vitamin D Receptor immunoassay is a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of Vitamin D Receptor in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay has a sensitivity of <0.247 ng/ml and a product range of 0.625–40 ng/ml, with absorbance read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm. Run on a pre-coated microplate format over 4h 30m, the workflow uses a biotinylated anti-Vitamin D Receptor detection antibody with HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate; the enzymatic reaction yields a blue product that converts to yellow upon addition of stop solution, with colour intensity proportional to analyte concentration.
Validation data are reported for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Recovery ranges across n=5 were 80%–102% (average 91%) for serum, 81%–100% (average 90%) for EDTA plasma and 80%–89% (average 84%) for heparin plasma. Linearity at sample dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 was also characterised for each sample type.
Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed in the protocol, and the product should not be used past its expiration date.
