Rat Very Low Density Lipoprotein Receptor ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat VLDL Receptor/VLDL-R in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate in a 12 x 8 well strip format and employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique with HRP-Avidin detection and TMB substrate, producing a colour change read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Reported performance figures include a product range of 0.781-50 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.31 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Recovery testing in serum (n=5) averaged 91% (range 80%-102%), in EDTA plasma (n=5) 90% (81%-100%), and in heparin plasma (n=5) 84% (80%-89%). Linearity was reported across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (n=5 each). Serum values were 87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101% and 92-97%; EDTA plasma values were 90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101% and 79-108%; heparin plasma values were 84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105% and 89-91%.

Reactivity is specific to rat. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
