Rat Vasodilator Stimulated Phosphoprotein ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Vasodilator Stimulated Phosphoprotein (VASP) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The kit employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate format (12 x 8 well strips) with a biotinylated anti-VASP antibody and HRP-avidin detection. Following incubation with TMB substrate and an acidic stop solution, absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and the VASP concentration is calculated from a standard curve.

The reported assay range is 0.156–10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.052 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4 h 30 min. Spike-and-recovery performance has been demonstrated in serum (range 80–102%, average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma (range 81–100%, average 90%, n=5) and heparin plasma (range 80–89%, average 84%, n=5), with corresponding dilution linearity data provided for each sample type. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or –20°C as indicated on the individual vials, and the reagents must not be used past the stated expiration date.
