Rat Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Receptor 1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Receptor 1 (VEGF Receptor 1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The kit employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate configured as 12 x 8 well strips, with a colourimetric detection step read at 450 nm in a microplate reader. Reported assay range is 0.156–10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.056 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and not used past the stated expiration date.

The workflow uses a biotinylated anti-VEGF Receptor 1 detection antibody together with an HRP-Avidin conjugate; TMB substrate produces a blue-coloured product that becomes yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution, with the resulting absorbance proportional to VEGF Receptor 1 concentration in each well. In validation testing, recovery was 80–102% in serum (average 91%, n=5), 81–101% in EDTA plasma (average 91%, n=5) and 80–89% in heparin plasma (average 84%, n=5), and linearity was demonstrated across dilutions of 1:2 to 1:16 for all three sample types.
