Rat Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor C ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor C (VEGFC) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated plate onto which an antibody specific for VEGFC has been immobilised. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, allowing VEGFC to bind to the captured antibody. After washing, a biotinylated anti-VEGFC antibody is added, followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue-coloured product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, and absorbance is measured at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The kit offers a sensitivity of 12.3 pg/ml and an assay range of 31.2–2000 pg/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Recovery has been validated in rat serum (n=5; range 80%–102%; average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5; range 81%–100%; average 90%), and heparin plasma (n=5; range 80%–89%; average 84%). Kit components should be stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
